October 23, 1854, near Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, Ohio.

Rollin was the son of Obadiah Ward and Caroline Vickroy, and husband of Mary A. Moyer (married 1875).

Copyright records indicate Ward, a minister, was living in Canton, Ohio, in 1898. As of 1902, he was head of the Findlay College Conservatory of Music, Findlay, Ohio. He resigned that post around 1904, at which time he was said to be in the Sandusky [Ohio] Conference of the United Brethren in Christ. In 1925, he was reported to be pastor of the Methodist Protestant Church of Cardington, Ohio.
