Biography

Sarah was the daugh­ter of James Borth­wick and Sar­ah Fin­lay, and wife of Er­ick John Find­lat­er, the Free Church of Scot­land pas­tor at Loch­earn­head, Perth­shire.

In 1855, she and her sis­ter Jane Borth­wick co-pro­duced a book of trans­lat­ed Ger­man hymns tit­led Hymns from the Land of Lu­ther.
