We’ll all stand up for Jesus,
The captain of our band,
Who leads His little army,
Safe to the promised land.
Though perils may encompass,
Though storms may lower above,
We’ll all stand up for Jesus,
Who shields us with His love.
The foe is round about us,
They press on every side,
They war and fight against us,
With envy, hate and pride;
But Jesus leads the battle,
And so we cannot fail,
Though foemen without number
Our lesser ranks assail.
We’ll all stand up for Jesus,
The loving and the brave,
Who died a death of anguish
Our wandering souls to save;
And now He lives to bless us,
To lead our little band,
Through all the storms and dangers,
Into the promised land.
