Lyrics

I am hungering, I am thirsting,
For the fullness of Thy love;
O my Savior, look in favor,
Send Thy Spirit from above;
Let me feel the quickening power,
And in richest measure give
Grace that fits me for Thy service;
Let me to Thy glory live.

I am weakness, utter weakness,
And Thy promise I would claim;
Lord, to Thee in faith I’m looking,
Trusting in Thy precious name;
I would prove Thy promise faithful,
I would take the blessing now;
Help me, O my gracious master,
While before Thy throne I bow.

As a mother, Thou dost comfort,
As a father pity show;
Help me then to trust Thee fully;
Life abundantly bestow.
Like a mighty river flowing,
Let Thy peace fill all my heart;
At Thy feet, like loving Mary,
I would choose the better part.

I will trust Thee, O my Savior,
I will take Thee at Thy word,
And go on my way rejoicing,
For I know my prayer is heard.
When at last, my toil is over,
And I see Thee face to face,
I shall waken in Thy likeness,
And adore Thy matchless grace.
