God is the life, the truth, the way
Which leads un­to the per­fect day,
The way which mor­tals should adore,
If they would reach the un­seen shore.

Come to this fount which flows for all,
Come, and ac­cept the gra­cious call;
Jesus, who came the way to show,
Has said that all the way may know.

Press for­ward to the Ho­reb height,
Look up and thou shalt see the light;
Acquaint thy­self at once with love,
And truth shall guide to light above.
