Henry was the son of Henry Turrall and Elizabeth Ann Child.
He worked as a missionary associated with the Brethren Assemblies of Spain, starting in 1889. He served in Madrid; Monforte de Lemos, Lugo Province; Vigo, Pontevedra; and Marín, Pontevedra (1906–52).
His brother Thornton Turrall (known in Spanish as Eduardo), was also a Brethren missionary.
