He held pas­tor­ates at Hud­son Falls, New York and Law­rence, Mas­sa­chu­setts, and served as sec­re­ta­ry of his de­no­mi­na­tion’s South­ern Mas­sa­chu­setts Dis­trict Con­fer­ence.

Ill health and a fi­nal par­al­y­sis lim­it­ed ac­tiv­i­ty in his lat­er years, though he sup­plied in var­i­ous church­es around New Bed­ford.
