Biography

Anna was the daugh­ter of Fran­cis W. Gar­lin and Nan­cy M. Car­pen­ter, and wife of Will­iam H. Spen­cer.

An or­dained Uni­ta­ri­an min­is­ter, she lec­tured and wrote books on so­cial prob­lems.
