At his request, Schuler’s ashes were scattered in the Gulf of Mexico off the Sarasota coast.

Schuler attended the Chicago Musical College; Cosmopolitan School of Music; and the Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Illinois, where he went on to serve on the faculty for four decades. He also worked as an editor for the Rodeheaver Publishing Company. His works include:
