Biography

Schnecker was or­gan­ist at the West Pres­by­ter­ian Church, New York Ci­ty, for 32 years, and at the El­ber­on Mem­or­ial Church, Long Branch, New Jer­sey (1886–1903).

He was said to have been a good friend of Ame­r­ican pre­si­dent James Gar­field, and played his per­son­al home pipe or­gan for par­ties and events at the Gar­field es­tate in Long Branch.
