Biography

Meyers was the son of Fred­er­ic My­ers and Su­san Har­ri­et Mar­shall, and hus­band of Eve­leen Ten­nant.

A class­icist and po­et, he was edu­cat­ed at Chel­ten­ham Col­lege, Glou­ces­ter­shire, and Tri­ni­ty Col­lege, Cam­bridge.

Myers was a Fel­low and Col­lege Lec­tur­er at Tri­ni­ty Col­lege (1865–69), In­spect­or of Schools (1862–1901), and a char­ter mem­ber of the So­cie­ty for Phy­si­cal Re­search.
