Biography

Like his grand­fa­ther and fa­ther, James Moul­ton, Will­iam was a Wes­ley­an min­is­ter.

In 1875, he be­came first head­master of The Leys School in Cam­bridge, a po­si­tion he held the rest of his life; one of the school’s houses is named aft­er him.

He was elect­ed pre­si­dent of the Me­tho­dist Con­fer­ence at Bris­tol in 1890.
