Biography

Somerset was the son of James Cor­ry Low­ry, Q. C., of Rock­dale, Dun­can­non, Ire­land.

He was edu­cat­ed at Rep­ton School and Tri­ni­ty Hall, Cam­bridge (BA 1877, MA 1880).

Ordained a dea­con in 1879 and priest in 1880, he served as cu­rate of Don­cas­ter; vi­car of North Holm­wood, Sur­rey (1891); cu­rate of St. Au­gus­tin’s, Bourne­mouth (1900); rec­tor of Won­ston (1911); and vi­car of St. Bar­tho­lo­mew, South­sea (1914–19).

Upon re­tire­ment, he moved to Bourne­mouth.
