Biography

Heinlein’s first train­ing came from a lo­cal mu­si­cian who taught him to play the key­board and wind in­stru­ments. He went on to stu­dy in Linz, Aus­tria; Mu­nich, Ger­ma­ny, and in It­aly (1646).

He was ap­point­ed Raths­mu­si­kus in Nur­em­burg in 1650, or­gan­ist at St. Ägy­dien in 1655, Ka­pell­meis­ter at the Church of Our La­dy in 1656, and or­gan­ist at St. Se­bald’s Ca­thed­ral in 1656.

Works

Heinlein pro­duced six books of mourn­ing and fun­er­al hymns, and con­trib­ut­ed tunes to oth­er col­lect­ions.
