Biography

Robert was the son of Ro­bert Gre­ville, rec­tor of Ed­las­ton, Der­by­shire, and hus­band of Char­lotte Ed­en, young­est daugh­ter of Sir John Ed­en, Ba­ro­net.

He was a my­co­lo­gist, bry­ol­ogist, and bo­tan­ist. He was al­so an ac­comp­lished ar­tist and il­lus­tra­tor of na­tur­al hi­sto­ry.
