As of 1917, Fow­ler was liv­ing in Birm­ing­ham, Ala­ba­ma.

We spe­cu­late he might be the El­bert B. Fowl­er (1884–1961), bur­ied in the Wes­ley Cha­pel Unit­ed Me­hod­ist Church Ce­me­te­ry, Cen­tral Heights, Lau­der­dale Coun­ty, Ala­ba­ma.
