Biography

Francis was the son of John W. Fer­rell and Nan­cy W. Head, and hus­band of Beu­lah Beck­ham.

A Bap­tist, he taught sing­ing for ov­er 50 years. He was said to have writ­ten 175 songs and nu­mer­ous books, and was considered one of the best the­or­ists of the South­west.

His name is some mis­spelled as Fer­kell.
