Biography

Vivian was the son of Jo­na­than Wood­cock Dake and Athel­ia M. Mer­rill. He mar­ried twice, to Len­na B. Bai­ley (1876) and Ida Mae Dake (1878).

He was the found­er of the Pen­ta­cost Bands (not Pen­te­cos­tal) that ev­an­gel­ized Il­li­nois, Io­wa, Kan­sas and Ohio.

He was on a miss­ion­ary trip at the time of his death.
