Biography

Jane was the daughter of A. Montgomery Campbell (rector of St. James’ Church, Paddington, Hyde Park, London).

She contributed a number of hymns translated from German to Charles S. Bere’s Garland of Songs; or, an English Liederkranz (1862), and to his Children’s Choral Book (1869).

She also published A Handbook for Singers (London: Society for the Promotion of Christian Knowledge). This small work contains the musical exercises she taught in her father’s parish school.
