Biography

Elsie was the daugh­ter of Eli Hertz­ler By­ler & Ma­ry Ann Yo­der, wife of Sam­uel Burk­hard (mar­ried Au­gust 1913, pos­si­bly in Ne­bras­ka, where he was born), and cou­sin of Wal­ter Yo­der.

In 1920 the Burk­hards were liv­ing in Put­nam Coun­ty, Ohio. El­sie taught school for an un­known length of time.
