Biography

Elsie was the daughter of Eli Hertz­ler By­ler & Ma­ry Ann Yo­der, wife of Sam­u­el Burk­hard (married August 1913, possibly in Ne­bras­ka, where he was born), and cou­sin of Wal­ter Yo­der.

In 1920 the Burk­hards were living in Put­nam County, Ohio. El­sie taught school for an unknown length of time.
