Biography

Charles was the son of Da­vid N. Brock and Ma­ry Eli­za­beth Da­vis, and hus­band of Mar­ga­ret Clem­en­tine Mar­tin. His daugh­ter Le­na mar­ried George Speer and had a Gos­pel mu­sic ca­reer as one of the Speer fa­mi­ly sing­ers.

Copyright re­cords show Brock’s work be­ing pub­lished by the Trio Mu­sic Com­pa­ny in Wa­co, Tex­as, in 1909.

By 1913, he was liv­ing in Dunn, Ten­nes­see.
