Biography

John was the son of John F. Bis­choff and So­phia Abel. He mar­ried twice, to Ma­ry Jane Van­der­grift (1870) and El­sie Bond Moore.

Blind from age two, he was known as the Blind Or­gan­ist of Washington. He played the or­gan at the First Con­gre­ga­tion­al Church in Wash­ing­ton, DC (1874–1909).
