Angel and Shepherds

While shepherds watched their flocks by night,
From dangers that surround;
The angel of the Lord shone bright,
With glory all around.

Refrain

All glory to God! the angels sing,
Peace on earth, good will to men;
Glad tidings of great joy they bring,
All hail the star of Bethlehem!

The shepherds they were sore afraid,
And troubled in their mind;
I bring, said he, in white arrayed,
Great joy to all mankind.

Refrain

To you in Bethlehem this day
Is born of royal line,
A Savior, who is Christ, the Lord,
And this shall be a sign.

Refrain

The shepherds glorified their God,
For what they saw and heard;
Good will to all, the angels sang,
Who love and keep His word.
