Lyrics

There’s a voice that calls me on, I must go,
I cannot tarry long here below;
’Tis a voice I long to hear,
’Tis a voice that bids me cheer,
And it calls me to my heav’nly home.

Refrain

Home sweet home, home above,
Home of the kindred dear;
I would fly on wings of love,
To that happy home above,
For my Savior beckons me there.

I never will depart from that voice,
It cheers my fainting heart, I rejoice;
It tells of love divine,
Oh, I’m glad that love is mine,
And it calls me to my heav’nly home.

Refrain

That voice still calls me on, I must go;
With Jesus I’ll be soon, this I know;
Hallelujah to His name,
Free from sin and death I am,
I am longing for my heav’nly home.
