O Thou who art my king,
Submissive to Thy law,
I yield my soul, unquestioning,
In reverential awe.
Father, who art in Heaven,
Helpless I lean on Thee,
And trust, each day, grace may be given
To meet earth’s poverty.
O Comrade of life’s way,
With all my strength I rise,
Eager with Thee to serve each day,
In love’s blest enterprise.
More dear than yielding will,
Or faith’s humility,
O God, is this deep-pulsing thrill
Of comradeship with Thee.
