The noonday sun is shining,
All over land and sea;
The call for willing workers
Comes forth to you and me;
O will you go, my brother,
Before the light grows dim?
God calls you, too, my sister,
To lead some soul to Him.
Refrain
He’s calling you, He’s calling you
Into the fields of sin;
Make no delay, but go today,
And bring the lost ones in.
You’ve often prayed the Father
To open wide the door;
To thee ’tis now thrown open;
O haste, ere time’s no more,
For someone who is yearning,
A better life to live;
Go tell them Jesus loves them,
For them His life did give.
Refrain
The call for willing workers
Is ringing all around,
At home and o’er the ocean,
Wherever man is found;
How strange that we should idle,
Make life a useless dream,
When souls of men are dying,
For Jesus’ love supreme.
