Lyrics

Thro’ all the years I’ve roamed in sin,
And wandered from my Lord away,
He tenderly has cared for me,
And guided me thro’ every day.

Refrain

Oh, He’s my friend,
No evil can my soul betide;
I’ll trust His grace—
He’ll lead me to the glory side.

When clouds would hover over me,
And from me almost hide the light,
My Savior, with His love-light true,
Is ever near to banish night.

Refrain

When other friends would prove untrue,
My Lord, I know, is faithful still;
To Him I’ll all my service give,
And strive to do His blessèd will.
