Lyrics

From a royal throne that in Heaven shone
The kind and loving Savior came;
The lowly to raise and bring to His praise,
Who trust in His precious name.

Refrain

He redeemed me, He redeemed me,
From my sin He set me free!
He redeemed me, He redeemed me,
He redeemed me on Calvary.

Oh, be glad and sing, for He came to bring
Redemption to a helpless race;
Raise high now each voice, come sing and rejoice—
We’re saved by His bounteous grace.

Refrain

When on earth He dwelt, oft in prayer He knelt,
The lost and erring world to save;
Oh wonderful thought, with tenderness fraught,
His life for His foes He gave.

Refrain

He transformed the tomb with its night of gloom,
Let not His children cease to sing;
The deeds of His love, He pleads now above,
Our Savior and friend and king.
