Lyrics

Heedless of danger, dear ones are straying,
Far from the Master’s tenderest care.
Will you not send a message of warning unto each one?
Ruthless temptation ever obeying,
Soon they will all be lost in despair;
Tarry not, Christian, for ’tis a sacred duty you shun.

Refrain

Heedless of danger, why will you wander,
Nearer and nearer, approaching the brink?
Heedless of danger, why will you wander,
Into the darkness where soon you must sink?

Heedless of danger, wander no longer,
Come to the only refuge secure;
Truly repent, believing His wondrous power to save.
Looking to Christ, your faith will grow stronger,
Ready for Him all things to endure,
Bearing aloft His banner among the true and the brave.

Refrain

Heedless of danger, safely refusing,
When it is free for all to attain;
Waken, O sinner, surely your soul is precious to you!
Needlessly waiting, time you are losing,
Nothing by long delay will you gain.
When you shall hear the summons of death, oh!
What will you do?
