Lyrics

Father in Heaven! to Thee I pray,
To Thee for grace I come;
O help me from my heart to say,
Father, Thy will be done!

Refrain

Make me resigned to good or ill,
While life its course shall run:
Though dark or bright my pathway, still,
Father, Thy will be done!

And e’en tho’ long and toilsome be
The race which I must run,
Yet I would humbly ask of Thee,
Father, Thy will be done!

Refrain

Though cares and trials I must meet,
My cross I would not shun,
But say before the mercy seat,
Father, Thy will be done!

Refrain

And when at last the angel Death
Says, Come, the conflict’s won,
Help me to say with latest breath,
Father, Thy will be done!
