I believe in the mercy of Jesus alone;
I believe that His blood for my sins can atone;
I believe that He died long ago on the tree;
I believe that His death giveth life unto me.
I am trusting that Jesus will pardon my soul,
I am trusting in Him to be cleansed and made whole;
I am trusting His love that abides to the end;
I am trusting my all to this heavenly Friend.

I am resting in Jesus; His arms are my stay;
I am resting on Him all my cares day by day;
I am resting alone on the crucified One,
I am resting my hope on the well-beloved Son.
I am waiting for Jesus to whisper to me
The sweet word of assurance that His I may be;
I am waiting His word that my sins are forgiven,
I am waiting His summons to call me to Heaven.
