Be Thou exalted, O God, above the heavens.@Psalm 57:5

From A New Version of the Psalms of David, by Nahum Tate & Nicholas Brady, 1696.

Old 100th attributed to Louis Bourgeois, in Four Score and Seven Psalms of David (Geneva, Switzerland: 1551) (🔊 pdf nwc).

Be thou, O God exalted high;
And as Thy glory fills the sky,
So let it be on earth displayed,
Till Thou art here, as there, obeyed.

O God, my heart is fixed; ’tis bent
Its thankful tribute to present;
And, with my heart, my voice I’ll raise
To Thee, my God, in songs of praise.

Thy praises, Lord, I will resound
To all the listening nations round;
Thy mercy highest heav’n transcends;
Thy truth beyond the clouds extends.
