Biography

Mary was the daughter of Ben­ja­min Brown Cham­ber­lain and Jane Eli­za­beth Tar­gee, and wife of Dr. George Mor­ris Wyeth, Jr., grand­son of Jo­shua Wy­eth, who was in the Bos­ton Tea Par­ty.

In 1833, her fa­mi­ly moved to St. Lou­is, Mis­sou­ri, where she grew up. She lived for a time in Jack­son­ville, Flo­ri­da where she ap­pears in the 1884 di­rec­to­ry as an au­thor­ess.
