Wrigley, from the Green­heys area of Man­ches­ter, Eng­land, earned a Ba­che­lor of Mu­sic de­gree from New Col­lege, Ox­ford Uni­ver­si­ty, in 1883.

He was giv­ing or­gan re­cit­als ear­ly as 1892, and as of 1904, was a mem­ber of the Roy­al College of Or­gan­ists.

He was still liv­ing in Man­ches­ter in 1913, ac­cord­ing to the Mu­sic­al Times is­ue of March 1913.
