Woodd en­tered Trin­i­ty Coll­ege, Ox­ford, at age 17, and took Ho­ly Or­ders in 1783. He be­came lec­tur­er of St. Pe­ter’s Corn­hill (1784); morn­ing preach­er at Ben­tinck Cha­pel, Mar­y­le­bone (1785); and Rec­tor of Dray­ton Beau­champ, Buck­ing­ham­shire (1808). His works in­clude:
