Biography

Son of J. F. Winks, Will­iam was edu­cat­ed at Chil­well Col­lege, Not­ting­ham.

He en­tered the Bap­tist min­ist­ry in 1865, and pas­tored in Al­ler­ton, West York­shire; Wis­bech, Cam­bridge­shire; and Be­tha­ny Bap­tist Church, Car­diff (1906–14).
