1865–1942
Mrs. J. G. Wilson

May 24, 1865, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

June 23, 1942, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.

Emily was the daughter of John and Sarah Lees Devine. Her father was from Ireland, and her mother from England. Note: Some sources give her father's name as Divine, but his tombstone clearly shows Devine.

Emily married Methodist minister John G. Wilson, an English immigrant. Her husband was District Superintendent of the Methodist Philadelphia Conference, and pastor of the Wharton Memorial Methodist Church in Philadelphia. The couple had no children, and John died in 1933. In 1935 and 1940, Emily was living in the Methodist Episcopal Home for the Aged in Philadelphia.
