Biography

Wiberg was edu­cat­ed at Moo­dy Bi­ble In­sti­tute, Chi­ca­go, Il­li­nois; North Park Col­lege, Chicago; Wil­liam Jew­ell Col­lege, Lib­er­ty, Mis­sou­ri; North Park Theo­lo­gic­al Se­mi­na­ry; Yale Di­vi­ni­ty School, New Ha­ven, Con­nec­ti­cut; Un­ion Theo­lo­gic­al Sem­in­ary, Ric­hmond, Vir­gin­ia; and the Uni­ver­si­ty of Os­lo, Nor­way.

Ordained a Cov­en­ant min­is­ter in 1953, he served in Oak­land, Ca­li­for­nia; and at Had­dam Neck Cov­en­ant Church, Hamp­ton, Con­nec­ti­cut; Mis­sion Cov­en­ant Church, Prince­ton, Il­li­nois; First Co­ve­nant Church, Youngs­town, Ohio; North Park Co­ve­nant Church, Chi­ca­go, Il­li­nois; and Sa­lem Co­ve­nant Church, New Bright­on, Min­ne­so­ta.

He was on the Co­ve­nant Hym­nal Com­mis­sion (1967–73) and chaired the Com­mis­sion for the Re­vi­sion of the Book of Wors­hip (1973–80).
