Biography

Lewis was the son of L. B. White, vi­car of St. Ma­ry Al­der­ma­ry in Lon­don, and hus­band of Eli­za­beth Wil­son.

He was or­dained an An­gli­can priest in 1844, and served as cur­ate of Cro­mer, Nor­folk. In 1934, he be­came hon­or­ary ca­non of Nor­wich Ca­thed­ral.

He was a gift­ed or­gan­ist, and gave fre­quent re­cit­als.
