Introduction

Biography

Thomas was the son of Pal­mer Esk­er Wheel­er and Le­na M. Ban­dy. He mar­ried twice, to Li­ma Beth Wood and Joyce Pres­ton.

He at­tend­ed grade school at the Freed-Hard­e­man Col­lege pub­lic school in Hen­der­son, Ten­nes­see, where his fa­ther was a mu­sic in­struct­or.

He gra­du­at­ed from high school in Dall­as, Tex­as, at­tend­ed Ab­i­lene Chris­tian Col­lege (BS in mu­sic, 1950) and Tex­as Tech Col­lege in Lub­bock, Tex­as (mas­ter’s de­gree in mu­sic).

His last known re­si­dence was in De­so­to, Texas.
