Waterbury grad­u­at­ed from Yale Coll­ege in 1822. He was for some time pas­tor of a Con­gre­ga­tion­al church in Hud­son, New York, then of the Bow­doin Street Con­gre­ga­tion­al church in Bos­ton, Mass­a­chu­setts. His works in­clude:
