Biography

Watson was a phy­si­cian, po­et and ac­tive mem­ber of the Me­tho­dist de­no­mi­na­tion.

He was pro­mi­nent in the To­ron­to chap­ter of the Roy­al As­tro­nom­i­cal So­cie­ty, and a well known sup­port­er of Ca­na­di­an li­te­ra­ture, ed­it­ing the first Col­lect­ion of Ca­na­di­an li­te­ra­ture for the school sys­tem.
