Warrack taught at the Royal College of Music (1925-35), was principal conductor for the British Broadcasting Corporation’s Scottish Symphony Orchestra (1935-46), and conductor for the Sadler’s Wells Theatre Ballet (1948-51). He was the father of English music critic John Warrack.
