Warrack taught at the Royal College of Music (1925–35), was principal conductor for the British Broadcasting Corporation’s Scottish Symphony Orchestra (1935–46), and conductor for the Sadler’s Wells Theatre Ballet (1948–51). He was the father of English music critic John Warrack.
