Biography

Walmisley be­came the or­gan­ist at Croy­don (1830); of Tri­ni­ty and St. John’s Col­leg­es, Cam­bridge (1833); and Pro­fess­or of Mu­sic at Cam­bridge (1836), hav­ing com­posed his an­them Let God Arise for his MusB de­gree.

He earned his BA in 1838, MA 1841, and MusD 1848.
