William was the son of Charles Viner and Elizabeth Barber, and husband of Emma Densham. He studied under Charles Wesley, Jr., and became organist of St. Michael’s Church in Bath around 1810; while there he also taught music. From 1835-59, he played the organ at St. Mary’s, Penzance. He emigrated to America in 1859. His works include:
