Born: June 1, 1963, Ed­in­burgh, Scot­land.

Biography

Stuart was the son of John Town­end, vi­car of Sow­er­by Bridge, West York­shire.

He at­tend­ed the Un­iv­er­si­ty of Sus­sex, Brigh­ton (1981–85), earn­ing an hon­ors de­gree in Am­er­ican Stu­dies (Li­te­ra­ture).
