Biography

Lucius was the son of Har­vey Pin­son Tay­lor and Nancy Ma­til­da Bry­an. He mar­ried twice, to Ann Em­mons and Ed­dis An­der­son.

He learned shape-note mu­sic from his bro­ther Judd and tra­vel­ed ex­tens­ive­ly around the Unit­ed States teach­ing mu­sic and sel­ling Gos­pel song books (Hym­na­ry).
