Biography

Sweetser was the son of Paul Sweet­ser and Sa­rah New­hall, and hus­band of Lou­isa Fos­ter.

A Uni­ver­sal­ist lay­man, he taught school in Bos­ton and Charles­town, Mas­sa­chu­setts, and was an ed­it­or and writ­er.
