Emigrating to America at age 20, Sundquist attended Knox College, Galesburg, Illinois, and the Chicago Theological Seminary. He pastored as the Covenant Church in Galesburg (1891-97), then at First Covenant Church, St. Paul, Minnesota, until 1905. He edited the Swedish newspaper Veckobladet for five years, then moved to Washington after developing health problems. He raised apples there, and taught Sunday School at the First Presbyterian Church in Yakima. His works include:
